In this senior leadership role, you will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and boots-on-the-ground execution, driving revenue growth across State, Local Government, and Education (K-12 and Higher Ed) markets.As a critical member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of accountability, mastering complex procurement cycles, and delivering predictable growth through disciplined pipeline management and talent development.What You Will Do:ð Sales Leadership & PerformanceDrive Revenue: Lead a team of SLED sales professionals to consistently exceed quarterly and annual quota targets.Forecast Accuracy: Conduct rigorous pipeline reviews and deal strategy sessions to ensure high-velocity execution and 90%+ forecast predictability.Culture of Excellence: Build an accountability-driven environment focused on activity metrics, deal coaching, and public-sector compliance.ð Strategy & Market ExecutionGo-to-Market: Translate national SLED strategy into actionable regional plans across municipalities and educational institutions.Complex Pursuits: Provide executive oversight for high-value RFPs, RFIs, and cooperative contracts.Market Intelligence: Identify emerging trends in state-level funding and procurement cycles to gain a competitive edge.ð Stakeholder & Talent ManagementExecutive Sponsorship: Act as the face of the company for key public-sector decision-makers and procurement leaders.Scale the Team: Recruit, onboard, and mentor top-tier sales talent, creating clear career development pathways.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Sales Ops, and Government Compliance to navigate the unique hurdles of SLED contracting.Do You Have?Experience: 8+ years of professional sales experience, with at least 3–5 years in a people leadership role.Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of the SLED (State, Local, and Education) or highly regulated government markets.Procurement Knowledge: Proven track record navigating formal procurement processes, multi-year agreements, and government contracts.Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage remote or distributed teams through complex, long-cycle sales.Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.Even Better:Industry Background: Experience in Telecom, SaaS, Cloud, or Infrastructure solutions.Contractual Mastery: Direct experience with GSA, NASPO, or regional cooperative purchasing vehicles.Operational Excellence: Proficiency in CRM discipline (Salesforce/HubSpot) and data-driven decision-making.JobFamilySalesJobFunctionGov/Ed SalesPayTypeSalary
