Growing together.We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Architect with solid expertise in AWS and Amazon Connect (Digital Channels) to design and deliver scalable, secure, and intelligent customer engagement solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise and close collaboration with business stakeholders to implement GenAI-powered customer and agent experiences.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities: Design end-to-end solutions using Amazon Connect (Chat), Lex Chatbots, and AWS servicesDevelop and optimize contact flows and conversational AI experiencesArchitect Bedrock-based AI agent flows and integrate GenAI capabilitiesDefine scalable, secure, and high-availability architecturesEnsure alignment with enterprise standards and best practicesWork with Amazon Connect, Lex, AWS Lambda, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q, Agent Core, and Strands AgentsLeverage AI/ML services to enhance customer experiencesIntegrate AI agents into customer journeys and backend systemsEngage with business teams to gather and refine requirementsMaintain configuration workbooks and solution documentationTranslate business requirements into technical designsImplement secure architecture practicesEnsure compliance with enterprise security policiesPerform troubleshooting and root cause analysisOptimize system performance and reliabilityYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: 8+ years of overall IT experience5+ years of relevant experience in AWS and Amazon Connect5+ years of experience with system architecture, security, and troubleshooting3+ years of hands-on expertise in AWS Lambda, Amazon Lex and serverless architecture3+ years of experience with GenAI services (Bedrock, Amazon Q, AI Agents)Driver's License and access to reliable transportationPreferred Qualifications: Proven excellent communication and stakeholder managementProven solid analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in cross-functional teamsDemonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilitiesExperience in digital contact center transformationExposure to omnichannel engagement platformsExperience migrating from Genesys or LivePerson to Amazon ConnectAll employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
