Learn more at careers.alight.com.  OverviewThe role carries direct accountability for achieving an assigned annual new business revenue quota and building a qualified, measurable pipeline that supports Alight’s Wealth growth objectives. The executive owns prospecting, opportunity creation, early-stage qualification, CRM discipline, activity tracking, pipeline progression, and forecast accuracy, while partnering with Wealth Sales Executives and solution leaders to advance qualified opportunities through proposal development, negotiation, and closure. The role generates qualified pipeline and new revenue opportunities for Alight’s defined benefit, defined contribution, and financial wellbeing solutions. The executive identifies priority prospects, develops senior-level relationships, leads early-stage discovery and qualification, and works with Wealth Sales Executives, Solution Architects, Consultant Relations, and business leaders to develop and execute differentiated pursuit strategies. The role requires a strategic, consultative seller who can establish credibility quickly, navigate complex buying environments, and convert market opportunities into qualified enterprise pursuits.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Development and ProspectingOwn and achieve assigned annual new business revenue, pipeline creation, and qualified opportunity quotas through disciplined prospecting, opportunity creation, qualification, and conversion of strategic Wealth opportunities that lead to closure.Develop and execute targeted account and market-development plans.Identify priority organizations, buyers, influencers, consultants, and market events.Create qualified opportunities through direct outreach, relationships, referrals, and consultant channels.Maintain disciplined prospect and opportunity activity in the company’s CRM platform.Maintain clear accountability for weekly activity levels, opportunity stage progression, next steps, close plans, and forecast accuracy.Discovery and QualificationLead early-stage discovery to understand business priorities, buying criteria, stakeholders, competitive dynamics, timing, and funding.Apply a consistent qualification methodology to determine pursuit viability.Recommend whether, when, and how Alight should engage each opportunity.Document qualification outcomes, pursuit recommendations, risks, decision criteria, and accountable next steps for each opportunity.Pursuit Strategy and Solution PositioningTranslate prospect challenges into differentiated value propositions across defined benefit, defined contribution, retirement advice, self-directed brokerage, and financial wellbeing solutions.Partner with sales, solution, pricing, proposal, legal, and operational teams to shape pursuit and proposal strategies.Contribute market and buyer insights throughout RFP, pricing, negotiation, and contracting activities.Executive and Market RelationshipsBuild trusted relationships with senior HR, benefits, finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders.Position Alight’s Wealth capabilities within broader Total Retirement Outsourcing and Total Benefits Outsourcing strategies.Represent Alight at industry events, conferences, consultant meetings, and targeted prospect engagements.QualificationsRequiredFINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, or willingness and eligibility to obtain applicable licenses.Enterprise business-development or sales experience in retirement, benefits, HR outsourcing, or a related market.Demonstrated success generating qualified pipeline and winning new client relationships.Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes.Strong discovery, executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and forecasting skills.Ability to translate client needs into differentiated business and solution value.Willingness and ability to travel based on client and business needs.PreferredExperience with defined benefits, defined contribution, retirement advice, brokerage, or financial wellbeing solutions.Experience working with benefits consultants and advisory firms.Knowledge of TRO, TBO, and connected-benefits strategies.Track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, pipeline targets, and forecast commitments in a complex enterprise selling environment.Application and Interview By applying for a position with Alight, you understand that, should you be made an offer, it will be contingent on your undergoing and successfully completing a background check consistent with Alight’s employment policies.
