Position Overview Medstar Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team in a full-time capacity. Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health concerns, strengths, and available resources.

Deliver individual, family, and group therapy employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.

Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans that articulate clear goals and executable interventions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure integrated, coordinated care.

Facilitate group therapy sessions, psychoeducational classes, and support groups, cultivating a sense of community and shared healing among clients.

Provide crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments and safety planning when needed.

Ensure meticulous and timely documentation that adheres to ethical and legal standards in mental health practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will center around a diverse range of clients seeking mental health support, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, all presenting various mental health challenges. By tailoring interventions based on developmental stages and individual life contexts, you will empower clients to overcome personal struggles and achieve mental resilience.

Qualifications

A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

Current and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, providing a practical foundation for therapeutic intervention.

Strong familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities is essential, alongside proficiency in assessment and intervention strategies.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
