Wild Spirit Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity, focusing on providing mental health support to students in a school setting in Fernley, Nevada. Work Environment
This role is fully remote, offering flexibility and the comfort of working from your own space while delivering essential services. As a member of our remote team, you will engage with other professionals through virtual meetings, ensuring that collaboration and communication remain strong. Our organization utilizes robust teletherapy platforms, which facilitate effective interaction with students and enhance overall therapeutic engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments that thoroughly evaluate the mental health needs of students in a school setting.
Develop tailored treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices to cater to individual student needs.
Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
Provide psychoeducation to students and their families regarding mental health issues and available resources, fostering understanding and support systems.
Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and other healthcare providers to create an integrated approach to student wellness.
Attend regular team meetings to discuss case studies and enhance interprofessional collaboration.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current best practices, treatment methodologies, and mental health trends.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your focus will primarily be on children and adolescents who are facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. You will work empathetically to understand their unique situations and create a safe space where they can feel secure expressing their concerns. Your role will directly contribute to improving academic performance and social skills through effective mental health treatment.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
A valid and active LCSW license in the state of Nevada.
Demonstrated clinical skills with an emphasis on youth and adolescent mental health.
Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with students, families, and professionals.
Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple cases concurrently.
Preferred Experience
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably within educational settings or with children and adolescents.
Experience with teletherapy platforms and remote counseling methodologies.
Familiarity with school systems and individual education plans (IEPs).
Compensation and Benefits
