Work Environment This position is entirely remote, leveraging telehealth technology to provide therapy services to our clients. Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the mental health status and needs of clients, employing evidence-based assessment tools.

Develop tailored treatment plans that focus on individual patient goals and therapeutic outcomes, integrating various therapeutic modalities as appropriate.

Provide ongoing therapy sessions through telehealth platforms, maintaining regular communication and offering strategies that empower clients to overcome their challenges.

Perform crisis interventions as needed, demonstrating the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations while ensuring client safety.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress in electronic health record (EHR) systems in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus The clients you will engage with at Healing Trails Counseling Center include a diverse population facing various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Your expertise in culturally responsive therapy will be instrumental in fostering a trusting environment for clients from different backgrounds, enhancing their therapeutic experience and overall healing journey.

Qualifications

A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

A current and valid license in the state of Tennessee as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW.

A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating broad-based knowledge across various mental health disorders.

Demonstrated proficiency in conducting both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing inclusive approaches.

Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a proven track record of building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Proficiency in using EHR systems and other relevant technologies essential for effective telehealth delivery.

A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining professional boundaries, and confidentiality standards.

Preferred Experience

Experience working within a telehealth framework, including knowledge of teletherapy best practices.

Specialized training or certifications in trauma-informed care or specific therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, etc.) is preferred.

Experience facilitating workshops or group therapy sessions with a focus on community outreach.
