Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to diagnose and identify the mental health needs of clients in the detox process, customizing treatment plans that reflect best practices and solution-focused interventions.
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy sessions, to address clients' emotional and psychological challenges effectively.
Maintain meticulous and timely clinical documentation, adhering to regulatory standards and confidentiality agreements to ensure quality care delivery.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—such as psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and counselors—to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Engage in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to enhance treatment quality and foster professional growth amongst team members.
Educate clients and their families about mental health, providing them with resources and strategies to foster a better understanding of their conditions and promote active participation in their recovery journey.
Stay current on emerging research, therapeutic techniques, and industry standards to continuously improve treatment outcomes for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The client population at our detox center consists of individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Your role as an LCSW will involve addressing the unique challenges these clients face, employing solution-oriented therapeutic modalities that empower them to overcome barriers to recovery.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
Must possess a current and valid LCSW license to practice in the state of Kansas.
A minimum of three years of clinical experience specializing in psychotherapy, particularly within a substance use treatment or mental health setting.
Proficient in solution-based and other evidence-based psychotherapy modalities that foster client engagement and recovery.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to connect with clients and collaborate with a team.
Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience working within a detoxification or substance use disorder treatment program.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms to streamline client services.
Background in crisis intervention and management techniques.
