Position Overview Joyful Journeys Mental Health Services is seeking committed and skilled Mental Health Counselors to join our team as part of an exciting full-time opportunity. As a licensed clinician in our outpatient setting, you will play a vital role in developing individualized treatment plans and delivering therapeutic interventions to enhance the mental health outcomes of our diverse clientele. This position supports a remote work arrangement, providing you with the flexibility to work from home while effectively contributing to our mission of fostering mental wellness.

Work Environment This role offers a full-time schedule with remote work capabilities, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Working hours are typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling based on patient needs. As part of an outpatient facility, you will have the advantage of utilizing virtual platforms and tools that enhance communication with clients, empowering you to provide effective therapy in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that evaluate each patient's psychological needs, strengths, and challenges to create tailored treatment plans.

Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, and families, employing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused strategies.

Lead psychoeducational and support groups that facilitate community connection and provide resources for listeners dealing with common mental health issues.

Collaborate and coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Render crisis intervention services to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, providing timely and effective assistance.

Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, therapy strategies, treatment options, and community resources available to them.

Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and sessions in alignment with ethical standards and legal requirements.

Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and foster professional camaraderie and learning.

Pursue continuing education to stay current with industry developments and advocate best practices within our organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse population of patients, ranging from children and adolescents to adults confronting various mental health challenges. In this role, you will guide and empower clients from different backgrounds and life experiences, fostering an environment that supports understanding and healing. Your work will significantly impact their mental wellbeing and contribute to their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Georgia.

Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and treatment modalities.

Proven experience in conducting thorough mental health assessments, developing effective treatment plans, and delivering therapy.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that foster strong therapeutic relationships.

Demonstrated ability to uphold professional boundaries, ethics, and sound clinical judgment.

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technology tools to document patient care efficiently.

A collaborative spirit, eager to engage with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

At least 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly in an outpatient setting.

Experience facilitating group therapy sessions and community outreach programs.

Proficiency in additional therapeutic modalities or populations, exemplifying versatility in your practice.
