Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health needs, accurately diagnosing conditions using DSM-5 criteria.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy.
Provide ongoing therapeutic support through regular individual and group sessions, employing techniques that cater to diverse patient needs.
Maintain detailed and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies, ensuring all treatment plans and patient interactions are precisely recorded.
Engage collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team, participating in regular case reviews to ensure cohesive and effective care delivery.
Educate and empower patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available resources to foster a supportive environment beyond the clinic.
Stay informed and engage with current research and developments in the mental health field to enhance your practice and patient care strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As an LCSW in our hospice center, you will work with a diverse range of patients including individuals coping with terminal illness, chronic health conditions, and psychosocial challenges related to their care. Your role will focus on addressing both immediate emotional needs and providing long-term support strategies, ensuring a patient-centered approach to mental and emotional wellbeing.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
Possession of a valid LCSW license in the state of Kansas is mandatory.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using solution-based psychotherapy interventions and evidence-based practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience in hospice or end-of-life care settings is highly preferred.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for clinical documentation and patient management.
Previous engagement with family therapy or group therapy modalities would be an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is competitive, from USD 60,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
