Empowered Mind Body Counseling, Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is crucial in providing therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families seeking to enhance their mental and emotional health. As an LMFT, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients towards positive change and personal growth in a flexible remote work setting, while also attending our outpatient office as needed.

Work Environment
As a licensed therapist at Empowered Mind Body Counseling, you will benefit from a unique remote work environment that provides flexibility and work-life balance. Our outpatient office setting in Ocean City allows you to connect with clients face-to-face when necessary, creating a holistic therapeutic experience tailored to the individual needs of those you serve. Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule conducive to both your professional and personal commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial assessments to evaluate the unique needs of clients, ensuring the development of comprehensive and individualized therapy plans.
Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address a broad spectrum of issues faced by clients, adjusting your approach according to their evolving goals and challenges.
Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to enhance client interaction and support, fostering a community of healing.
Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all client interactions and progress in adherence to ethical standards and legal requirements.
Engage in ongoing personal and professional development through workshops, supervision, and additional learning opportunities to stay current with best practices in the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The clients you will serve at Empowered Mind Body Counseling come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including those facing marital difficulties, family dynamics challenges, mental health disorders, and relationship issues. You will have the opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet their cultural and personal needs effectively. This role not only allows for individual growth as a therapist but also supports the broader community by providing essential mental health services.
Qualifications
Master's or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
Current and active LMFT license in the state of Maryland.
Proven proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods, with a strong understanding of various modalities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills accompanied by excellent verbal and written communication abilities, critical for building trust and rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience
A minimum of two years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a therapeutic setting.
Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy practices is advantageous, enhancing flexibility and accessibility for clients.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of
USD 100,000 – 110,000
