Position Overview Bright Valley Mental Health is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team in Buford, Georgia. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining close collaboration with our outpatient office. As an LPC, you will provide essential mental health services, guiding individuals and families on their journey to emotional well-being.

Work Environment This role supports a hybrid work environment that includes telehealth capabilities in conjunction with our outpatient office in Buford, Georgia. You will have the opportunity to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while also having the resources and support of our facility. Our outpatient office is a welcoming space designed to facilitate in-person individualized therapy and group sessions.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness interventions.

Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans reflecting personalized assessments to ensure alignment with each client’s therapeutic needs and goals.

Offer crisis intervention and stabilization support to clients during acute emotional episodes, ensuring safety and timely access to necessary resources.

Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care that addresses all aspects of a client’s health.

Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation that adheres to HIPAA laws and best practice standards within the field.

Participate in regular case reviews and team meetings aimed at enhancing treatment strategies, sharing best practices, and ensuring continuous professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will primarily focus on individuals, families, and groups navigating various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma-related disorders. You will be instrumental in creating a safe environment where clients can explore their difficulties, enhancing their coping skills and resilience.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

Active and current Licensed Professional Counselor licensure in the state of Georgia.

A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a strong capacity for individual, group, and family therapy.

Solid grounding in trauma-informed care practices and crisis intervention strategies.

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with an ability to actively listen and engage empathetically with clients.

Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a diverse team setting.

Preferred Experience

Experience with electronic health record systems (EHR) to effectively manage client documentation and treatment plans.

Familiarity with culturally responsive care practices to better serve diverse client populations.

A competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
