Mindful Pill Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our innovative remote therapy team. Work Environment
This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while collaborating with a supportive team of professionals. As part of the hospice center's interdisciplinary team, you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule to accommodate client needs, including evening and weekend appointments, which are often necessary to provide support across various time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct secure, confidential teletherapy sessions with individuals and families facing terminal illnesses, guiding them through grief, anxiety, and emotional trauma.
Perform comprehensive assessments to identify and evaluate clients' emotional, social, and mental health needs, enabling the development of tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique situations.
Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during sessions, including addressing acute distress and implementing coping strategies.
Assist clients in navigating community resources and social services, ensuring they have access to necessary support systems that enhance their overall well-being.
Maintain accurate electronic client records and progress notes, adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice to protect client confidentiality.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure that client care is coordinated, holistic, and suited to individual needs.
Educate clients on effective coping methods, communication strategies, and self-care practices, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.
Stay abreast of current research and advancements in clinical social work and teletherapy through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily focuses on clients facing significant emotional and psychosocial challenges related to terminal illness. You will work closely with individuals and families navigating complex grief processes, emotional distress, and adaptive strategies for end-of-life care. The ability to approach these sensitive topics with empathy and understanding is crucial, as you will be a key support figure throughout their experience.
Qualifications
Must possess current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas.
A master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
At least three years of demonstrated experience in the field of social work, with a focus on mental health and crisis intervention preferred.
Proficiency in telehealth technologies and teletherapy platforms to facilitate seamless client interactions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, vital for effective remote therapeutic engagement.
Commitment to ethical practices in clinical care and confidentiality.
A self-starter who can work independently and effectively manage time in a remote work environment.
Flexibility to adapt schedules to fit client appointment needs.
Preferred Experience
Experience in hospice care, palliative care, or working with terminally ill clients is highly desirable.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining documentation is preferred.
Experience in conducting group therapy sessions via telehealth is an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
