Position Overview
Compass Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Mental Health Therapist to join our specialized team that focuses on supporting individuals with mood disorders. This full-time remote position will allow you to provide critical mental health services while collaborating with a compassionate team dedicated to promoting patient well-being. In your role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, create personalized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to enhance the mental health of our vulnerable patient population.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorders in clients, utilizing standardized tools and personal interviews.
Collaborate with clients to develop customized treatment plans that are aligned with their individual needs and therapeutic goals, ensuring a client-centered approach at every step.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for mood disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to best fit each client.
Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote better understanding and participation in the treatment process.
Monitor client progress closely, tracking symptoms and response to treatment while adjusting the care plan as necessary to enhance effectiveness.
Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, facilitating communication about treatment modifications and medication management.
Stay informed about advancements in research related to mood disorders to continuously enhance the quality of care provided to clients.
Maintain precise and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment strategies while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
Engage in case consultations and professional development workshops to refine clinical skills and share best practices with the team.
Actively advocate for clients' mental health needs, promoting destigmatization and increased awareness of mood disorders within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily focus on serving individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clients often face complex emotional challenges compounded by their illness trajectories, necessitating a sensitive and informed approach to treatment that acknowledges their unique circumstances and hardships.
Qualifications
Completion of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
Possession of a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on treating mood disorders is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly CBT and DBT, with an understanding of how to apply these techniques in diverse clinical scenarios.
Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to cooperate seamlessly with medical professionals regarding client medications.
Exceptional communication skills that promote rapport-building with clients from varied backgrounds, ensuring they feel understood and supported.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in hospice or palliative care settings is advantageous, providing familiarity with the particular emotional and psychological needs of terminally ill patients.
Proven success in implementing treatment plans that lead to measurable improvements in patients' mental health outcomes.
Active participation in community outreach initiatives related to mental health awareness and advocacy.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
