Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative Community Health Clinic located in Battle Creek, Michigan. Work Environment
This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while being supported by a collaborative team of professionals. Although the majority of your work will be conducted from home, periodic meetings and consultations may occur at our community health center. Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans that cater to each client's unique circumstances.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, groups, and families, utilizing a variety of methodologies to effectively address a broad spectrum of mental health concerns.
Collaborate closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and multi-disciplinary team members to ensure well-rounded care that aligns with best practices in mental health services.
Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute emotional distress, using both experience and empathy to stabilize their situations.
Participate in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness, educating the public about resources available, and advocating against the stigma associated with mental illness.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will involve working with a varied client base, representing a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and cultural identities. By serving these diverse populations, you will not only enhance your clinical skills but also develop a deeper cultural competence that enriches your therapeutic practice.
Qualifications
A current license as a
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) .
A completed master’s degree or doctorate in fields such as
Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy .
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and form therapeutic relationships across diverse populations.
A strong commitment to cultural competence, demonstrating sensitivity to the varied backgrounds of clients.
Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to manage documentation and client records effectively and timely.
Preferred Experience
At least 2 years of clinical experience in a community mental health setting.
Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of socio-cultural issues affecting mental health.
Proficiency with multi-disciplinary collaboration and teamwork in mental health care.
Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation package offers a competitive salary ranging from
USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually , depending on your qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include:
