Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough virtual assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' mental health needs and substance abuse history, establishing a baseline for their care.
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to client needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Educate and support clients' families, involving them in the treatment process to enhance recovery outcomes.
Collaborate effectively with other members of the treatment team to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client care.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of sessions, adhering to all regulatory requirements and standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily involves working with pre-screened, stable clients who present with low acuity mental health concerns. By focusing on adolescents and young adults, the counselor can significantly impact their developmental and emotional well-being during formative years. Your expertise will guide clients through personal challenges while promoting skills that lead to lasting positive changes.
Qualifications
A master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Preferred Experience
A minimum of two years of experience in providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, particularly in a telehealth format.
Experience working with young adults and adolescents in a therapeutic capacity, demonstrating a keen understanding of their specific challenges and needs.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and proficiency using digital communication tools, including the Google suite and telehealth software.
A willingness to participate in training focused on our established care pathways, which are evidence-based frameworks for delivering effective treatment.
