Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Northeast Mental Therapy Clinic, you will:

Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and fostering positive therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.

Conduct regular check-ins with clients to assess progress, discuss treatment plans, and schedule appointments, while preparing for potential discharge when appropriate.

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized person-centered treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each client.

Ensure meticulous documentation and timely updates of progress notes for each client interaction, maintaining compliance with internal and external documentation standards.

Conduct intake assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of new clients, utilizing validated assessment tools and clinical insight.

Facilitate individual therapy sessions weekly, employing evidence-based practices to achieve therapeutic goals.

Engage in individual supervision to reflect on clinical practices, receive feedback, and enhance professional skills.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to create comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring coordinated care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus This position emphasizes a youth-focused counseling approach. You will work with diverse populations that may include adolescents facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and substance use disorders. Through your compassionate care and tailored interventions, you will make a significant impact on the well-being and recovery of each client.

Qualifications

A Master's Degree in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

Active licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.

Ability to fulfill internal credentialing requirements specific to clinical settings.

A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients or individuals with substance abuse issues.

Demonstrated expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and providing individual and group therapy.

Proficiency with computer systems and basic data entry skills.

Preferred Experience While a minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional certifications in therapy modalities (such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care) and experience with telehealth platforms will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
