Position Overview Health First Psychotherapy Services is seeking a licensed and dedicated mental health therapist to join our team as a full-time member. Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to meticulously evaluate clients' trauma histories and identify tailored treatment approaches.

Develop and implement customized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building, utilizing a proactive and client-centered methodology.

Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate effective recovery pathways.

Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through processing trauma and equipping them with coping strategies to enhance their healing journey.

Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, leading to improved patient outcomes.

Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate and effective care.

Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, empowering them on their journey to wellness.

Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that aligns with legal and ethical standards while facilitating seamless service delivery.

Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities dedicated to trauma-informed care.

Continuously update your knowledge on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance treatment practices.

Qualifications

A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

A current and valid license as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.

Demonstrated strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client care.

Ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations while effectively supporting clients in crisis.

Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications pertinent to mental health practice.

A collaborative spirit, enabling you to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with demonstrable skills in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

Prior experience in a remote work setting and familiarity with virtual therapy platforms is advantageous.
