Position Overview Prism Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in therapy to provide high-quality care to a diverse clientele, including individuals and couples. This full-time position allows for the flexibility of remote work while ensuring you make a tangible difference in the lives of our clients. We offer an annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000, along with a sign-on bonus of $3,000.

The outpatient nature of our practice means you will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, engaging in regular team meetings and case consultations to enhance client care.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental and emotional states, utilizing evidence-based practices for a thorough understanding of their needs.

Develop individualized treatment plans for clients that reflect their unique goals and challenges, ensuring they align with best practices in therapy.

Provide one-on-one therapy sessions focused on issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and more, using effective modalities tailored to client preferences.

Facilitate couples therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering relationship growth.

Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on client progress, progress notes, and evolving needs.

Document all client interactions accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration to align on holistic strategies for client support, making sure clients receive comprehensive care.

Respond effectively to crises and provide intervention support for clients in acute distress, utilizing de-escalation techniques and strategies.

Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in mental health, engaging in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.

Empower clients through advocacy, ensuring they have access to resources and support that promote their well-being.

Promote a culture of self-care both for yourself and clients by encouraging wellness activities and resilience strategies.

Uphold the highest ethical standards while maintaining strict confidentiality across all client interactions, ensuring a secure therapeutic environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus You will work with a varied patient population, including individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, couples facing relationship challenges, and teens navigating complex emotional landscapes. Each interaction provides an opportunity to facilitate positive change, and your skills will help cultivate supportive relationships and encourage clients in their growth journeys.

Qualifications

An active and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is required.

Demonstrated experience in providing effective individual and couples therapy with a focus on evidence-based practices.

A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is also necessary.

Preferred Experience

At least one year of practical experience in dealing with a wide range of mental health issues is preferred.

Experience working in an outpatient setting and familiarity with remote therapy platforms will be beneficial.

Previous experience in crisis intervention and management would be a plus.

Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus of $3,000.
