Position Overview
Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our child and adolescent psychiatry team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of working remotely while making a significant impact on the mental health and well-being of young individuals and their families. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address various mental health concerns affecting children and adolescents.

Work Environment
This position operates in a telehealth setting, allowing for flexibility in scheduling while ensuring access to care for our patients. You will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. Our remote work model fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, enabling seamless communication with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, taking into account developmental stages and family dynamics.
Develop individualized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in supporting their children’s mental health journey.
Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance and safety for our young clients.
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to foster informed decision-making.
Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in alignment with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations to enhance treatment strategies and share insights.
Engage in professional development activities to stay current with advancements and best practices in child and adolescent mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents struggling with a variety of mental health issues. Our focus is on developing effective therapeutic relationships with young individuals and their families, fostering a safe space for communication and growth. You will be instrumental in providing targeted interventions that help improve their emotional resilience and overall well-being.
Qualifications
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based treatment options.
Proven experience delivering individual and family therapy to children and adolescents in a clinical setting.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, reflecting a compassionate approach tailored towards the needs of children and families.
Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with young patients and their caregivers.
Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team, promoting collaboration and shared goals in patient care.
Preferred Experience
Experience in providing telehealth services and adjusting therapeutic strategies for a virtual environment.
Familiarity with community resources available for mental health support and intervention.
Background in crisis intervention and management strategies in adolescent settings.
Compensation and Benefits
