Key Responsibilities

Provide individual psychotherapy for clients navigating mental health challenges associated with substance abuse treatment, utilizing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate solution-based interventions.

Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to deliver coordinated care, ensuring that each client receives holistic support.

Educate clients and their families about available mental health and substance abuse resources, fostering a supportive community network.

Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment, incorporating new evidence into clinical practice to enhance patient outcomes.

Effectively manage a caseload of clients, regularly assessing treatment progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet dynamic client needs.

Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain the highest standards in clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus You will work primarily with a diverse population of individuals experiencing substance use disorders and concurrent mental health issues. This includes clients from various backgrounds, emphasizing the importance of cultural competence in healing. Your efforts will directly contribute to their recovery process, promoting resilience, and empowering them through effective therapy techniques.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution.

A valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in Massachusetts.

A minimum of one year of clinical experience specifically focused on substance abuse therapy.

Proficiency in various solution-based interventions and therapeutic modalities.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills coupled with a genuine empathy for clients.

Preferred Experience

Experience working within a substance abuse treatment environment, particularly with dual diagnosis clients.
