Labor & Employment AttorneyPay: $215K - $255K Location: Hybrid Remote - Los Angeles Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Labor & Employment Attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload of employment-related disputes, including wage-and-hour claims, wrongful termination matters, and labor law disputes. This role combines courtroom advocacy, case strategy, client counseling, and risk management to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration proceedings, including trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.Handle all phases of employment litigation: intake, investigation, discovery, motion practice, pretrial preparation, settlement negotiations, and trial.Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents with precision and persuasive legal writing.Advise employers and/or employees on compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws, internal policies, and risk mitigation strategies.Conduct factual and legal investigations, interview witnesses, prepare witness statements and exhibits, and manage e-discovery.Develop case strategy and work collaboratively with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to meet deadlines and budgetary targets.Manage multiple matters and client relationships, providing regular case updates, cost estimates, and strategic recommendations.Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals; review work product and provide constructive feedback.Participate in business development and professional networking activities, including CLEs, client presentations, and community outreach.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in the hiring jurisdiction.3+ years of litigation experience with a focus on labor and employment law; candidates with 5+ years and substantial trial experience preferred.Proven experience handling Wage and Hour claims, Wrongful Termination cases, Labor Law matters, and other Employment Law disputes.Demonstrated trial experience, including conducting hearings, trials, or arbitrations and effective courtroom advocacy.Strong employment litigation skills: discovery, motion practice, drafting persuasive briefs, and settlement negotiations.Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; attention to detail and ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients.Ability to manage a high-volume caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience supervising or mentoring junior attorneys and working collaboratively in team-based practice.Professionalism, strong client-service orientation, and ethical judgment; commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Willingness to travel as needed for depositions, hearings, or trials; familiarity with electronic case management and e-discovery tools.
