We're seeking a Global Trials Optimization Specialist to support program feasibility, recruitment and retention strategy, and in-life trial optimization across global clinical studies within General Medicine, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, and Vaccine programs.In this role, you'll transform trial goals, country insights, enrollment analytics, and feasibility data into actionable strategies that drive study performance. Working closely with clinical trial teams, country stakeholders, vendors, legal partners, and analytics teams, you'll help identify enrollment opportunities, mitigate risks, and support effective patient and site engagement initiatives.This is an outstanding opportunity for a clinical research professional who enjoys blending clinical operations, feasibility strategy, patient recruitment, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making to improve clinical trial outcomes on a global scale.What You’ll DoProgram Feasibility and Trial OptimizationGather data, benchmarks, and modeling inputs to support feasibility and trial optimization planning.Support program review development, including content review and escalation of requirements as needed.Plan timelines for validation, deliverable development, stakeholder alignment, presentation preparation, and country validation requests.Support validation and Clinical Trials Allocation Committee activities, including scenario planning, risk table inputs, validation review, modeling updates, and final allocation requests.Author the initial Global Trials Optimization Report and maintain subsequent report updates throughout the trial lifecycle.Complete recruitment needs assessments and ensure trial-level GTO reports remain current and actionable.Recruitment and Retention PlanningLead early recruitment and retention planning during feasibility, including inputs for project cost estimates.Develop initial recruitment needs assessments and, where applicable, program-level recruitment budget estimates.Submit vendor requests and prepare recruitment and retention plans.Partner with legal on concept reviews, vendor proposal reviews, scope of work finalization, and material or tactic reviews.Ensure recruitment and retention plans, including enrollment support materials, are implemented effectively.Oversee enrollment support material development and tactic execution.Provide required materials to the Metrics, Analytics & Performance team to support accurate Study Optimizer plan entry.Request and manage appropriate system updates as trial needs evolve.In-Life Trial ManagementPartner with study teams to identify enrollment challenges, assess risks, and recommend potential mitigations.Manage routine enrollment support materials and vendor activities.Monitor enrollment performance and prepare standard reporting.Analyze performance trends and identify opportunities for enhanced support.Coordinate enhanced enrollment support activities, which may include:Rescue site and country activitiesInternal recruitment and retention refresher meetingsExternal recruitment and retention booster meetingsAdditional participant- or site-facing materialsRescue vendor engagementAdvocacy engagement and community outreachWhat You’ll BringRequired QualificationsExperience supporting clinical trials, feasibility assessments, recruitment planning, enrollment strategy, trial optimization, or related clinical operations activities.Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and apply data to support decision-making.Experience managing timelines, deliverables, stakeholder reviews, and cross-functional initiatives.Ability to collaborate effectively with study teams, vendors, legal partners, analytics groups, and operational stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop reports, recommendations, presentations, and strategic plans.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical research environment.Ability to manage multiple studies and competing priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy.Highly Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting clinical trials within General Medicine, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, or Vaccine therapeutic areas.Prior experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator, Site Coordinator, Clinical Trial Associate, or similar site-based research role.Experience with patient recruitment and retention vendors and enrollment support campaigns.Familiarity with patient engagement strategies and patient-centered trial approaches.Experience developing patient-facing or site-facing recruitment materials.Knowledge of enrollment forecasting, country validation processes, risk assessments, feasibility methodologies, or trial allocation strategies.Experience monitoring and analyzing enrollment performance metrics to drive operational improvements.Why This Role MattersSuccessful clinical trials depend on identifying the right sites, reaching the right participants, and adapting quickly when enrollment challenges arise. Duties may include liaising with Customers, vendors and/or investigative sites to manage projects from proposal development to final deliverables to the customer. Upon displaying proficiency, a Project Manager (PM I) may be awarded the opportunity to function at the Project Manager II (PM II) level within a large project team or on a small project which offers continued mentorship.
