Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.The Senior Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs – Specialty Testing is responsible for setting the vision and strategic direction for the Specialty Testing business area and leading daily business operations support related to product development and clinical research, product quality, compliance, commercial/marketing activities and customer interactions. This senior role assists the Chief Medical Officer as the medical representative of Beckman to external partners and professional societies. This disease area is a key focus area for Beckman Coulter, providing the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to build and grow the Specialty Testing business area leadership, ultimately impacting patient outcomes. The Senior Director will partner as a thought leader and Beckman Coulter representative with senior external customers, bringing our technology, patient focus, and commitment message to the market.Specialty Testing consists of Urinalysis, Hematology, Bone Health and Anemia, and some of the rare diseases not captured in the other Medical and Scientific Affairs Chapters. The role will support the business team leaders in driving forward key strategic projects. This candidate will drive the scientific and clinical positioning of the products for the respective area(s) pre and post-launch to ensure optimal clinical utility globally.This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer and is part of the Medical & Scientific Affairs organization, a team of medical specialists dedicated to all medical aspects of safe and effective therapeutic areas. The Beckman specialty testing test portfolio enables better patient outcomes for those afflicted with hematological diseases, among others. This role may be fully remote, working remotely to cover a global business area. Beckman Coulter has a major site presence in South Florida, Southern California, Hebron Kentucky, and Minneapolis Minnesota, as well as major hubs in Europe and Asia.
