As a Senior Software Developer (Web), you will be part of the team responsible for building and delivering a collaborative XR platform within the Interactive Graphics Solution org. In this role, you will partner closely with UX Designers to build products and services that enhance our customer’s spatial understanding through our industry leading Autodesk Platform technologies. If you have a passion for creating modern, beautiful, and high-performance web frontends and share our passion for XR, join us as we redefine how we work and collaborate with each other in a new reality.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain frontend applications (JavaScript, React, TypeScript) alongside backend services (Golang, AWS)Build and optimize beautifully rendered, web-based components that push performance limits across XR HeadsetsLead large, complex projects across teams, defining scope, planning execution, and delivering milestones on timeCollaborate with architects, UX designers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into product featuresHelp shape system design and architecture across cloud and web environments, improving scalability, performance and feel across immersive and 2D environmentsLead technical discussions, align outcomes with business goals, and document solutions for clarity and adoptionStay ahead of emerging trends to anticipate and address future development needsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of hands-on experience in software design and development with emphasis on Frontend developmentDeep, hands-on experience developing complex, performance-sensitive web applications in JavaScript (ES6+) with working knowledge of React and TypescriptStrong grasp of browser performance profiling, rendering bottlenecks, and limitations of the DOM and JavaScript enginesExperience building applications with CPU constraints that push browser limitsExperience with real-time communication technologies like WebSockets, Microsoft Fluid and supporting data formats (JSON, Protobuf)Demonstrated excellence in cross-functional collaboration, with experience working across multiple engineering teams and stakeholdersStrong understanding of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems, and browser event loops and rendering pipelinesExperience with ElectronComfortable with AWS, specifically services like S3Git, Github knowledgeExperience in an agile development environmentGood problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsMS Degree in Computer Science or similar technical fieldExperience with 3D and immersive web technologies like ThreeJS or WebXRProven experience with AWS cloud services and designing resilient, scalable cloud-native architecture. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $107,000 and $157,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
