This position is based in Florida, with flexibility for remote or hybrid work within the state.What You’ll DoPerform Oil, Gas, and Mineral (OGM) assessments to evaluate the presence, quality, and/or development potential of mineral resources (for both energy and non-energy resources) that underlie properties considered for less-than-fee acquisitions (agricultural/rural or conservation easements)Evaluate information from the oil and gas permitting database and mines database maintained by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and local and regional geologic maps, nearby lithologic boring reports, and other geologic data maintained by the DEP-Florida Geological Survey (FGS)Prepare a brief technical report summarizing the OGM assessment, including a GIS map exhibit (prepared by you or a GIS analyst) and supplementary information such as well-borehole dataPerform other geology-related tasks on an as-needed basis in support of the Environment & Planning (E&P) DivisionCollaborate with project managers, technical specialists, and regulatory stakeholdersPlease provide an updated resume aligned to the qualifications, skills and experience required.
