Since launching in 2020, the company's technology has supported more than $85 billion in new home loans.The company is looking for a Senior/Staff Design Engineer who combines strong software engineering skills with exceptional product and visual design instincts. This is a hands-on role for someone who cares deeply about the details of user interface and experience and wants to ensure the product feels as good as it functions. You'll bring genuine frontend engineering craft to every component you ship, working from initial concepts in Figma through production implementation in React and TypeScript.As a Design Engineer, you'll own the end-to-end design process while helping build the systems that maintain a consistent and high-quality experience across the product. You'll develop and maintain a scalable design system and component library using shadcn/ui, build accessible production-quality React components, and establish visual and interaction standards. You'll also work closely with Product and Engineering to turn complex, data-dense mortgage workflows into intuitive and elegant user experiences.This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior-level engineer who wants meaningful ownership over both the technical and design quality of a product. The ideal candidate has a genuine software engineering background, deep React/TypeScript expertise, strong Figma skills, and experience building design systems on top of production frontend engineering experience.
