Job Description
Job Description
Do you believe therapy should meet people where they are- not where they are “supposed” to be?
Serenium Therapy & Wellness is looking for compassionate, motivated Licensed Therapists (LCSW, LPC, LSW, LAC, LAMFT, LCADC) to join our growing New Jersey-based practices. We provide both in-person and hybrid therapy and are looking for clinicians who want to make a meaningful impact while building a career in a supportive, collaborative environment.
At Serenium, we view mental and emotional wellness as an essential part of overall health. Therapy isn't only for someone experiencing a mental health diagnosis. People seek therapy while navigating pregnancy and postpartum, relationships, parenting, grief, trauma, career changes, childhood challenges, major life transitions, and the everyday stressors that can make life feel overwhelming.
Our goal is simple: meet clients where they are, create a space where they feel heard and understood, and help them move toward greater balance, confidence, and well-being.
We are especially interested in clinicians who bring specialized training, certifications, or clinical experience that allow us to expand the types of care we offer our clients.
Specialized Clinical Interests
We are particularly interested in therapists with experience or training in areas including:
EMDR and trauma-focused therapy
Perinatal, prenatal & postpartum mental health
Children & adolescents
Play therapy
Couples & relationship therapy
Family therapy
LGBTQIA+ affirming care
Anxiety & depression
Grief & loss
Women's mental health
Men's mental health
Parenting support
Life transitions
ADHD & executive functioning
OCD
DBT
CBT
Other specialized populations, modalities, or certifications
Have a specialty that isn't listed? We still want to hear from you.
We value clinicians who bring unique areas of expertise and are interested in continuing to grow their clinical skill set.
What You'll Do
As a Therapist at Serenium, you will:
Provide high-quality, compassionate, ethical individual, family, couples, and/or child/adolescent psychotherapy based on your scope of practice and clinical expertise.
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments using a variety of sources, methods, and approaches, including standardized assessment tools when appropriate.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's goals, needs, strengths, and presenting concerns.
Provide ongoing therapy and monitor client progress and treatment effectiveness.
Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation and treatment records.
Collaborate with other members of the clinical and administrative team when appropriate.
Participate in assigned meetings, trainings, conferences, and in-services.
Maintain all required professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Utilize electronic health records, scheduling systems, and other assigned technology.
Continue developing your clinical skills through supervision, continuing education, consultation, and professional development.
Help create a welcoming, inclusive, and stigma-free experience for every client who walks through our doors.
Our Outpatient Clinical Model
Serenium is an outpatient mental health practice, meaning our clinicians work with clients on an ongoing basis to provide consistent, meaningful therapeutic support over time. Our model is designed to allow therapists to build lasting therapeutic relationships while maintaining a healthy and sustainable clinical schedule.
For full-time clinicians, our general goal is 7–9 client sessions per day, depending on caseload, client needs, scheduling, and the clinician's specialty. We recognize that every day and every client is different, which is why
administrative time is built into the workweek for documentation, treatment planning, care coordination, and other responsibilities that happen outside of the therapy hour.
We aim to create a balance between providing access to care for the clients who need us and giving our clinicians the time, support, and resources they need to provide thoughtful, high-quality therapy, not simply move from appointment to appointment.
About Serenium Therapy & Wellness
Serenium is a therapy and wellness brand built around the idea that serenity and balance are essential to feeling whole.
We believe that mental health is part of the larger wellness picture. Just as people invest in their physical health, relationships, nutrition, and personal growth, we believe they should have accessible opportunities to invest in their mental and emotional well-being.
A client doesn't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. They may be navigating a difficult diagnosis- or they may simply be overwhelmed. They may be adjusting to becoming a parent, struggling in a relationship, grieving a loss, helping their child through a difficult transition, feeling stuck in their career, or trying to better understand themselves.
Whatever brings someone through our door, we believe they deserve to feel heard, respected, supported, and never judged.
Serenium is committed to making quality therapy accessible, affordable, and stigma-free. We provide insurance-based mental health services, including Medicaid and EAP coverage, with both in-person and virtual options available throughout New Jersey.
What We Believe About Our Clinicians
We believe great therapy starts with great clinicians- and great clinicians need support, too.
We want our therapists to have the opportunity to build a caseload that aligns with their clinical interests, continue developing their specialties, and grow within a practice that values their expertise.
We encourage our clinicians to pursue additional certifications and specialized training, and we are interested in growing specialty programming as our practice continues to expand.
Whether you're an experienced clinician with an established specialty or a newer clinician looking to develop your clinical identity, we want to know what you're passionate about.
