About The Team
The Marketing Planning and Operations function sets the standard for how marketing is planned and executed at Life360. The team is responsible for long-term planning and budgeting, ensuring alignment across the organization and that the right strategies and processes are in place to achieve company objectives. Operating cross-functionally within the marketing organization, this group maintains a holistic view of initiatives and priorities, enabling it to inform marketing strategy and support the execution of both short- and long-term goals.
About the Job
Life360’s marketing org has grown fast — spanning B2C and B2B, multiple international markets, and a widening set of specialist teams — and we’re ready to build the planning and budget infrastructure that matches that scale. We’re hiring a Director, Marketing Planning & Operations, reporting to the VP Integrated Marketing, to build that infrastructure: a single source of truth for the budget, a planning cadence every team can rely on, and workflows that replace ad hoc coordination. Within your first year, success means marketing leadership has one real-time view of spend and priorities and every team knows exactly how their work connects to the plan.
The US-based salary range for this position is $137,000 to $252,000. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining final salary – therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You’ll Do

Drives end-to-end strategy and process across the marketing organization, ensuring alignment between business priorities and how marketing supports them.

Facilitate brainstorm sessions for planning with clear structure, driving discussion, decisions, and next steps.
Produce and manage key marketing deliverables and executive templates, including QBR presentations (in collaboration with marketing leads), weekly status updates, monthly company newsletters, and Board of Directors materials.
Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CMO and marketing leads.
Operating Rhythms
Ensure effective, cohesive operations across every team in the marketing organization.
Partner across all marketing functions—including Creative, Lifecycle, PMM, Paid Ads, and Integrated Marketing—to evaluate team operations, bridge cross-functional gaps, and establish unified workflows, templates, and processes that optimize execution and drive integrated performance.
Ensure every team understands how they collaborate and connect across the broader organization, identifying and building the cross-functional workflows to support this.
Own the communication and rollout of new workflows and operating practices across the marketing org.
Support the marketing organization through agency selection, management, and procurement.
Identify, recommend, and implement workflow tools that improve efficiency across individual teams and the organization as a whole.
Budgets
Partner with the CMO and marketing leads to plan and manage annual and quarterly budgets.
Maintain a central budget system that enables accurate, real-time tracking across all teams and channels.
Partner closely with Finance to manage budgets, project metrics, and control costs across T&E and marketing investment areas, driving financial efficiency and maximum ROI.
Lead key stakeholder partnerships to align cross-team priorities, establishing consistent operating rhythms and communications that clarify budget expectations and streamline execution.
