Infotech® is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer who is passionate about delivering and maintaining innovative cloud solutions that are scalable, reliable, secure, and cost efficient, while providing excellent service and technical assistance. If you are driving on a highway in North America, there is a good chance that Infotech® software was used to build it. 88% of state transportation agencies in the U.S. use Infotech-developed software to manage their road construction projects*. How's that for impact?

Who we are looking for

As a member of the Hosting and Technical Services team, you will provide hands-on technical assistance with software implementations, including installations, upgrades, configurations, and data migrations, for customers and for our development, testing, and support environments. You will also build and maintain Windows-based cloud environments on Amazon Web Services, bridging the gap between customer-installed software and software as a service. With a broad range of technical skills, you will recommend and deliver solutions for a wide variety of customer and internal needs, develop custom reports and interfaces, and share your expertise through customer training.

What it's like to be an engineer on our AASHTOWare Hosting team

Our vision: As engineers, our vision is to create and maintain intuitive software that makes our customers' jobs easier, more efficient, and less complex. We do this by being experts in the problems they face, solving those problems in creative and elegant ways, and always striving to be better tomorrow than we are today. Our culture: We may be biased, but we have some of the most talented, respectful, and supportive people on our team. We are:

* Curious and innovative; every opinion is valued and all options are explored. * Creative and adventurous; what is work without a little bit of fun? * Informal and relaxed while also being ambitious and technically excellent. * Customer centric and solution oriented. * Empowering and resourceful. * Highly energized, communicative, and supportive. * Ever evolving, especially through our love of a good tech challenge.

What will you do in this role?

* Perform and assist with installations, upgrades, application configurations, and data migrations for AASHTOWare products and services. * You'll be largely self-driven, managing multiple concurrent tasks prioritized by importance and deadline. We are currently working on two large-scale migration paths (on-premises to AWS and EC2 to containers), and you'll be involved in both. * Deploy AASHTOWare products with Infotech services on Amazon Web Services and maintain those environments for cost efficiency, availability, reliability, and performance. * Respond to alerts and resolve issues quickly, including occasional after-hours maintenance and on-call troubleshooting. * Help ensure a high level of privacy and security across all services and accounts, adhering to NIST 800-53 and GovRAMP controls as applicable. * Provide technical assistance to other Infotech departments, including Development, Support, and QA. * Deliver engaging technical training on AASHTOWare products to new and existing customers. * Create technical documentation for internal and external audiences. * Contribute to innovation by identifying new opportunities and sharing ideas that improve our processes, services, and products.
