Key Responsibilities
As an LCSW at our detox center, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to identify patients' mental health and substance use concerns, and developing individualized treatment plans based on established best practices.
Administering various therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to clients' needs and treatment goals.
Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards in patient care.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate comprehensive care and optimize treatment efficacy.
Participating in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to enhance clinical practices and outcomes.
Educating and supporting patients and their families regarding mental health challenges, potential treatment pathways, and local community resources for ongoing support.
Staying abreast of ongoing research and developments in the field of mental health and incorporating these insights into your clinical practice.
Managing a full caseload of patients, ensuring timely and effective achievement of treatment goals in an ethically responsible manner, adhering to the standards set by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will encompass working with a diverse range of individuals, including those experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. You will support clients from various backgrounds, aiding them in navigating their recovery journey and empowering them with the tools necessary for sustaining long-lasting change.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
A valid and active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arizona.
At least 3 years of experience providing psychotherapy services within a clinical setting, ideally focused on substance use or mental health care.
In-depth understanding of solution-based psychotherapy techniques and interventions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effectively engaging with clients, families, and colleagues.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex patient needs.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with the following:
Experience working in a detox or addiction treatment setting.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and clinical documentation practices.
Participation in professional development programs or continuing education related to mental health and substance use.
