Position Overview Daybreak Counseling Center is seeking a fully licensed mental health therapist to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs accurately, using standardized instruments and clinical interviews.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, tailoring approaches to meet each client’s unique circumstances and goals.

Provide therapeutic services to clients through individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing a range of methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, or dialectical behavior therapy.

Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for our clients, regularly coordinating care with psychiatrists, social workers, and community resources.

Offer crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing acute mental health crises, responding with empathy and effective de-escalation techniques.

Engage in community outreach events and educational initiatives that promote mental health awareness, aiming to destigmatize mental health discussions within diverse communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus At Daybreak Counseling Center, our clients come from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a therapist, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications

A valid and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in California.

A completed master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members, establishing strong therapeutic relationships and trust.

Exhibit cultural competence and sensitivity, allowing for effective engagement with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate and timely documentation and client records using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Preferred Experience

Experience in community mental health settings, especially within outpatient care environments.

Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and contemporary therapeutic modalities.

Background in working with specific populations, including children, adolescents, and underserved communities.
