Key Responsibilities

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities tailored to the needs of each client.

Prepare and maintain thorough documentation, including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge plans, ensuring adherence to industry standards and organizational guidelines.

Develop comprehensive aftercare plans in collaboration with clients to facilitate successful transitions post-treatment.

Maintain regular communication with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal treatment outcomes.

Complete documentation and follow-ups swiftly to align with our organizational policies and promote accurate patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Serving Children and Reaching Families, LLC, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families grappling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your focus will extend to clients with co-occurring disorders, guiding them through personal challenges and empowering them in their journey toward mental wellness.

Qualifications

A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology from an accredited institution.

Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in the state of New York.

A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically working with individuals and families experiencing mental and behavioral health challenges.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to confidentiality standards as mandated by ethical guidelines.

Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with clients facing substance abuse challenges or co-occurring disorders is highly desirable.

Familiarity with electronic health record systems to streamline documentation and improve service delivery.

A track record of participating in community outreach or educational programs aimed at mental health awareness and support.

Compensation and Benefits
