Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, including relationship issues and life transitions.

Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual needs, therapeutic goals, and personal preferences, ensuring involvement at every step of their care journey.

Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment outcomes.

Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their healing process.

Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

Engage actively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that holistically addresses clients' mental health needs.

Stay updated on the latest research in mood disorders and therapeutic techniques to continually improve treatment methodologies.

Maintain confidentiality and meticulous records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Participate in regular professional development activities, team meetings, and case consultations to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Advocate for clients' mental health needs, addressing any stigma associated with mental health issues while striving for overall well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will focus on working with individuals and families facing challenges related to mood disorders, relationship disruptions, and other mental health issues. Qualifications

Active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington State.

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field, demonstrating a solid educational foundation.

Outstanding communication skills to cultivate a trusting relationship with clients, fostering an atmosphere of safety and openness.

Exhibit empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and challenges.

Proven organizational and time-management skills are essential to handle administrative responsibilities efficiently.

Preferred Experience

Experience utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities, particularly those focused on systemic and relational dynamics.

Proven track record in providing therapy focused on divorce, relationship counseling, or family therapy settings.

Familiarity with teletherapy systems and the ability to engage clients effectively through virtual platforms.
