Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough psycho-social assessments to identify clients’ mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to gather essential information.
Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans tailored to support each client's mental health goals and facilitate their growth journey.
Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families, equipping them with knowledge and skills to better manage mental health issues.
Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical providers, to ensure holistic and integrated care.
Participate in regular supervision and peer consultation sessions to enhance your therapeutic skills and stay updated with the latest clinical practices.
Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and therapeutic interventions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and licensing standards.
Utilize telehealth technology effectively to provide counseling sessions, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with diverse populations, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Your approach will be centered on empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity, acknowledging the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client. This role is integral to enhancing the quality of life for clients and supporting their journey to better mental health.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related discipline is required.
An active and valid license to practice in New York State (LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC) is essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to connect with clients and collaborate with colleagues effectively.
Proficient in using telehealth platforms and various digital tools to engage with clients and maintain documentation.
Preferred Experience
A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in direct mental health counseling is preferred, showcasing your ability to navigate complex cases.
Experience in a community health setting is beneficial, as it fosters understanding of the unique challenges faced by diverse populations.
Familiarity with treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
