Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with clients to foster a safe therapeutic environment.

Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.

Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

Monitor and document client progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies directly linked to client outcomes.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Provide referrals to additional specialists when required, enhancing the continuum of client support.

Engage in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus The clientele served at Coastal Light Mental Health Clinic encompasses a diverse range of individuals, including those facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family dynamics, and life transitions. Qualifications

Must possess active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related mental health field is required.

Proven experience providing individual and/or group therapy.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client caseloads effectively.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in a remote setting.

Knowledge of teletherapy techniques and tools is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience working within a community health clinic environment.

Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and scheduling.

Familiarity with the latest treatment approaches in marriage and family therapy.

Background in crisis intervention or trauma-informed care is a plus.
