Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a nuanced understanding of their unique situations.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals, utilizing evidence-based practices.

Emphasize the application of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment outcomes.

Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them on their journey to recovery.

Regularly monitor client progress, systematically adjusting treatment plans as needed based on their evolving needs and progress.

Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care.

Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance therapeutic strategies.

Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to promote ongoing learning and collaboration within the team.

Advocate for clients’ mental health rights, working to reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues and ensuring their needs are met.

Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will predominantly focus on individuals experiencing various mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will have the opportunity to provide support to a diverse clientele, including vulnerable populations such as individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. The role is designed to not only treat but also empower clients to reclaim their lives through supportive counseling and effective coping strategies.

Qualifications

A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required for this role.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential to building secure, trusting relationships with clients.

Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach towards clients experiencing mental health challenges are critical to fostering a therapeutic environment.

Proficient organizational and time-management skills are vital to managing workloads effectively in a dynamic remote work setting.

Preferred Experience While not mandatory, previous experience working with clients facing mood disorders, as well as specific training in therapies such as CBT or DBT, will be highly regarded. Experience in collaborative healthcare settings and familiarity with integrated care models will also enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
