Position Overview The Neuroscience Psychiatric Center is actively seeking a fully licensed Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) for a unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services remotely. Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

Conducting thorough clinical assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of patient mental health issues, followed by developing personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based and solution-focused interventions.

Delivering psychotherapy services such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored specifically to meet the needs of clients and their families.

Maintaining complete and accurate clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards to ensure confidentiality and high-quality patient care.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide coordinated care that caters to the physical and emotional needs of hospice patients.

Participating in regular case consultations and peer reviews to enhance therapeutic practices and maintain a high standard of care.

Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and community resources, fostering understanding and empowerment.

Staying informed about current research and developments in the field of mental health to continuously improve clinical practices and approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily focuses on providing mental health care to patients receiving hospice services, who often face complex psychological and emotional challenges at the end of life. You will work closely with individuals and their families, addressing anxiety, depression, grief, and other mental health concerns while promoting holistic well-being.

Qualifications

A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

A valid license to practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State.

A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, specifically in providing psychotherapy services, with a strong focus on evidence-based practices.

Proficiency in solution-focused interventions and various therapeutic techniques to address patient needs effectively.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills to support collaboration with diverse teams and effectively engage with patients.

Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills essential for navigating complex emotional and psychological issues.

The capacity to work autonomously while being an integral part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with hospice patients or in palliative care settings, focusing on mental health aspects related to end-of-life issues.

Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques.

Background in working with families and support systems in a therapeutic context.
