Position Overview Sun Valley Consultation Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in Downers Grove, Illinois. Work Environment This position is remote-based, allowing for a flexible work schedule that accommodates your individual needs. As an LCSW on our team, you will engage with a multidisciplinary group of professionals, collaborating to provide holistic support and services to students and their families. You will leverage technology to connect with students and their educators effectively, promoting mental wellness in a school context while adhering to strict health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough bio-psychosocial evaluations of students to identify mental health needs and barriers to effective treatment.

Develop comprehensive treatment and care plans tailored to individual student needs, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, collaborating closely with teachers and school staff to monitor student progress.

Document all interactions, assessments, and interventions in patients' medical records following departmental standards.

Provide consultation and education to support staff on students’ psychosocial backgrounds and treatment strategies.

Advocate for students by identifying community resources and services, ensuring each child receives the appropriate support consistent with their educational and mental health needs.

Stay updated on relevant community resources and coordinate access as necessary for students and their families.

Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus This position primarily serves the student population within the local school district, addressing a wide variety of developmental, mental, and emotional challenges. You will focus on promoting proactive mental health practices among adolescents, recognizing the unique needs associated with their age group and experience.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited school and current LCSW license from the State Board of Social Work Licensure.

Solid foundational knowledge of various mental health treatments and psychosocial frameworks applicable to school-aged children.

A minimum of six months to one year of clinical experience, ideally in a health or mental health setting.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in school settings, providing therapeutic services or counseling to children and adolescents.

Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities relevant to this demographic.

Skills in community resource coordination and advocacy, particularly focused on student welfare.

Compensation and Benefits The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
