Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate patients' mental health needs and create individualized treatment plans that reflect evidence-based practices.

Implement therapeutic interventions that utilize solution-focused methodologies tailored to each client's specific circumstances, including individual therapy sessions, group therapy, and family counseling.

Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and integrity.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators, healthcare providers, and mental health professionals to provide a holistic approach to care.

Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to discuss treatment strategies and improve the quality of care.

Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, providing resources and support to empower them in their journey toward healing.

Stay abreast of the latest research, therapeutic techniques, and developments in the field of mental health to elevate patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus You will work primarily with students, their families, and other community members, providing a safe and supportive environment conducive to healing. Your interactions will focus on a diverse population, with varying backgrounds, ages, and mental health challenges, emphasizing the importance of delivering culturally competent care.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

A valid LCSW license in the state of New York.

At least three years of clinical experience in a psychotherapy setting.

Demonstrated proficiency in solution-oriented psychotherapy techniques.

Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside strong problem-solving abilities.

A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience in school-based mental health services is highly desirable.

Familiarity with evidence-based practices in child and adolescent therapy.

Knowledge of additional therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
