Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough clinical assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, developing tailored treatment plans that align with their unique challenges.

Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused brief therapy, adjusting techniques based on individual student reactions and progress.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with organizational procedures and state regulations to track patient progress and facilitate care coordination.

Engage actively in regular meetings with a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with school staff and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.

Provide guidance and education to families regarding mental health challenges, fostering understanding and encouraging familial involvement in the treatment process.

Keep abreast of the latest research and trends in mental health, integrating new knowledge into practice to enhance the quality of therapeutic services.

Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily focuses on school-age children and adolescents who face various challenges, from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues. You'll work closely with students of diverse backgrounds, offering culturally-sensitive care and fostering an inclusive environment. Your expertise will not only address immediate mental health concerns but also equip students with tools for long-term resilience and coping strategies.

Qualifications

A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, ensuring a strong foundational knowledge of clinical practices.

A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Illinois is required.

Proficient understanding of solution-focused therapeutic techniques and an ability to apply them effectively in a school setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective engagement with students, parents, and education staff.

Problem-solving aptitude and the capacity to adapt methodologies based on diverse student needs.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience working within educational settings or with children and adolescents in a clinical capacity will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
