Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans tailored to their unique challenges.
Provide evidence-based therapy interventions for individuals, groups, and families. Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, to address mental health concerns effectively.
Collaborate closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and other allied health professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to client care.
Implement crisis intervention strategies for clients facing acute distress, utilizing your clinical skills to manage emergencies and provide support.
Participate in community outreach programs aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with seeking help.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on serving clients from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including children, families, and adults. The range of mental health challenges you may encounter includes anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and more. This role is ideal for therapists who are dedicated to enhancing their cultural competence and improving the mental well-being of underserved populations.
Qualifications
A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is mandatory; advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) are preferred.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop rapport and foster therapeutic relationships with clients from varied backgrounds.
Cultural competency and sensitivity to issues faced by individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Strong organizational skills with a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to deadlines.
Preferred Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mental health therapist within a clinical setting is highly desirable.
Experience with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or adults dealing with complex trauma is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
