Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:
Conducting individual counseling sessions via secure video chat, ensuring a safe and ethical therapeutic space.
Utilizing evidence-based, solution-focused treatment modalities to tailor your approach to each client's unique needs.
Assessing client mental health through comprehensive evaluations and developing effective, individualized treatment plans.
Monitoring client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as needed to help them develop healthy coping strategies.
Facilitating insightful discussions that promote deeper understanding of clients' feelings, thoughts, and relationships.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with stable, low-acuity adults who require mental health support related to various life challenges. By helping clients develop essential skills to improve their mental well-being, you will play a crucial role in enhancing their quality of life and fostering resilience.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
A Master’s degree in a counseling-related discipline such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
A current state-issued mental health counseling license allowing independent practice (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW).
Strong interpersonal skills along with a empathetic and supportive nature.
Proficient computer skills and access to a reliable internet connection with a webcam for virtual sessions.
Preferred Experience
Successful candidates are expected to bring at least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling. Experience with a variety of treatment modalities and demonstrated creativity in developing treatment plans will be beneficial. Additionally, familiarity with a remote work environment is a plus.
