Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies for each client.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for diverse populations, including individual, couple, and family therapy sessions.
Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to best meet client needs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers and community organizations, to enhance the overall care we deliver to our patients.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of client records.
Engage in ongoing training and workshops to continually enhance skills and knowledge in the field of mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with individuals and families who are often facing challenges due to limited access to mental health care. Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Your expertise will be vital in helping these clients navigate their emotional landscapes and achieve their therapeutic goals.
Qualifications
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Nevada.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant counseling experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
A thorough understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with clients from varying backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant technologies to ensure efficient documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
Experience or specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma recovery, or substance misuse interventions is highly desired.
Familiarity with the latest therapeutic techniques and methodologies within the mental health field.
