Banyan Recovery & Treatment Centers is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in Duncanville, Texas. This full-time, remote position allows you to provide essential mental health support to individuals through telehealth services. As an LPC, you will have the opportunity to assist clients in navigating their trauma and mental health challenges while contributing to their overall well-being and recovery journey.

Work Environment
This role is designed for a remote work setting facilitated through telehealth technologies. Our innovative approach allows counselors to engage with clients in flexible, comforting environments while maintaining a robust support structure. Banyan Recovery operates seven days a week, with flexible scheduling available from 7 AM to 10 PM, providing you the opportunity to customize your work hours around your personal needs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' histories and determine the appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique experiences, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to help clients process their trauma and build effective coping strategies.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and healthcare professionals, to provide seamless and integrated patient care.
Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources for support.
Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.
Stay current with industry research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our counselors work primarily with individuals seeking assistance in processing trauma and overcoming mental health challenges. This diverse population may include adults, couples, and families who have faced significant life events or ongoing psychological stresses. We are particularly focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building, making it essential for counselors to possess a deep understanding of trauma-related disorders.
Qualifications
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
Ability to reliably complete clinical documentation and notes within 24 hours of client sessions.
Preferred Experience
Two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
Strong background in trauma-informed treatment modalities and experience delivering trauma-focused therapies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.
Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, showcasing strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with essential computer applications.
Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 110,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:
