Psychiatric Unity Mental Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in Dallas, Texas. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to establish and achieve personalized treatment goals tailored to their unique needs.
Carry out prevention-oriented therapy sessions to help clients build resilience and coping strategies.
Develop, implement, and review comprehensive treatment plans to ensure effective client outcomes and satisfaction.
Work in partnership with other mental health professionals and placement agencies to provide coordinated care.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation to meet compliance needs and regulatory standards.
Effectively manage a caseload while documenting client interactions and sessions with precision.
Participate actively in staff meetings to share insights, discuss client progress, and collaborate on team initiatives.
Contribute to enhancing our organizational culture through proactive engagement and peer support.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse range of clients seeking mental health support, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological conditions. Our client population spans various age groups and backgrounds, providing a rich opportunity for you to refine your counseling skills and address differing mental health challenges.
Qualifications
Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
A minimum of one year’s professional experience in mental health counseling or related fields.
Familiarity with community mental health resources and an understanding of navigating them for client benefit.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, pivotal for rapport building and client interaction.
Strong interpersonal skills to foster meaningful relationships with clients, maintaining empathy and professionalism.
Proven leadership qualities that enhance collaboration and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
Preferred Experience
Experience in providing group therapy sessions or workshops.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices and familiarity with diagnostic assessments relevant to the mental health field.
Prior involvement with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methodologies is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, based on your experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, we provide:
