Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop tailored therapy strategies based on individual client needs.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to diverse client groups, including individuals, families, and couples, to promote emotional healing and resilience.
Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy.
Document clinical progress and maintain accurate client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to devise holistic care plans, ensuring that all aspects of a client's well-being are addressed.
Engage in ongoing professional development and attend workshops to stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research and practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a varied patient population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your ability to build rapport and trust through effective communication will play a significant role in fostering positive therapeutic relationships, ultimately contributing to improved client outcomes.
Qualifications
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a relevant field is required.
Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards governing psychotherapy practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitating engagement and rapport with a wide variety of clients.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software to ensure efficient documentation and record-keeping.
Preferred Experience
Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse is highly desirable.
Experience in utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to meet client needs effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 per year, based on experience and caseload availability.
