Premire Counseling & Wellness Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for a full-time remote position. Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs, abilities, and mental health status to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing overall patient functioning and resolving symptoms.
Provide various forms of psychotherapy including individual, family, couple, and group sessions, ensuring that treatment modalities align with clinical appropriateness.
Act as a primary therapist for patients, leading group therapy sessions with psychiatric patients and fostering supportive therapeutic environments.
Collaborate with the psychiatry team and other healthcare professionals on program planning, offering insights from individual patient cases to inform group treatment strategies.
Stay informed and comply with relevant program and regulatory standards while securing and documenting pertinent patient data effectively.
Maintain the ethical standards of the counseling profession as well as those of Premire Counseling & Wellness Services.
Engage in crisis intervention and triage evaluations in both outpatient and inpatient settings, offering immediate support for patients in distress.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal candidate will work primarily with a diverse population, addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. Tailored approaches will be essential as clients come from various backgrounds, each presenting unique needs and challenges.
Qualifications
An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor license (LPC) in the state of Texas.
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
At least two years of relevant counseling experience, particularly in a clinical context.
Demonstrated understanding of legal and ethical counseling standards.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients from various demographics.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.
Proficiency in using EMR software and other technologies to document and track client progress.
Preferred Experience
Specialization or additional training in family therapy, couple therapy, substance misuse counseling, or trauma-informed care.
Prior experience in medical settings or primary care environments is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
