Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' emotional and relational challenges, identifying key areas for therapeutic focus.
Develop personalized treatment plans that outline specific, measurable goals tailored to each client's unique situation and needs.
Employ family systems theory and other systemic interventions to address common relational issues, enhance communication, and alleviate family stressors.
Provide timely support and crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and their families during high-stress situations.
Document all sessions meticulously in electronic client records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal and ethical standards.
Educate clients on effective communication techniques, conflict resolution skills, and emotional coping strategies to facilitate improved relationships and individual emotional health.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care, making referrals to additional specialists when required.
Stay informed about industry advancements in marriage and family therapy and telehealth through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As an LMFT at Trinidad Behavioral Health Center, you will primarily work with diverse clients facing relational challenges, emotional distress, and mental health issues. Our patient population includes individuals of various age groups, families dealing with parenting challenges, couples seeking to improve their relationships, and individuals navigating personal crises. Your expertise will be vital in helping clients achieve their mental health goals, thereby enhancing their quality of life.
Qualifications
A current license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
A Master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related discipline.
Proficiency in telehealth platforms and technology, ensuring effective virtual therapy delivery.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster engagement during virtual interactions.
A strong commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality in all therapeutic practices.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and effectively within a remote work framework.
Flexibility to schedule appointments that accommodate clients across varying time zones.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a telehealth environment.
Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused brief therapy.
Experience in crisis intervention and risk assessment with diverse client populations.
Previous work with high-needs populations, such as at-risk youth or families undergoing significant transitions.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
